yesterday, SU and I went to the remote kitchen to chill a bit. The plantation didn’t run well at all yesterday, might need to change out a few indentured servants. Same thing at SU’s pasture. We’ve found that the best medicine is Tex-Mex with a margarita (or two) to soften the blow. And then a Netflix movie.
Last night we watched The Best Years of Our Lives for the first time. What a great movie! Wow, it was released in 1946 and it is unbelievable how much it reflects the arguments made today surrounding the Iraq war. It will make you laugh (I’m going to break up that marriage and get my man) and cry (You want to marry me? Okay, come up to my bedroom and see what the routine is like when I take off my prosthetic arms and cannot button my nightshirt).
Highly recommended, both for entertainment and discussion. We had a great evening.
