Seems like it’s been awhile since I wrote anything. Can’t remember exactly where I left off and lots of things have been happening
First, work is tough. Laid off an awful lot of people and the workload is high on everyone. Combined with the heat, it makes for some quick tempers. Overall, it was handled well and will, in the long run, benefit everyone. In the short run, though, I feel like a deer in the headlights with a Mack truck bearing down on me. Lance’s surgery went really well and he was in a private room and out of ICU by Thursday afternoon. Mark keeps making sales calls, although he does seem a bit frustrated that he hasn’t closed a deal yet. I’m not sure he understands how long the sales cycle is in this business
The home front is going pretty smooth. Katlyn is all registered for her senior year and seems to be blossoming with her freedom in driving (although the parking space thing was interesting). Kaia is home now but will be going back to Highland Lakes today and will not return until ??? (maybe Thanksgiving?). We are going to meet her next week at Highland Lakes and drive with her to Abilene. Terri is still happy with her job and likes her boss. She took a couple of days off this week to be with Kaia and get her and Katlyn ready for school.
As for me, well, I’m hanging as they say. Zeus had his ears cropped Thursday and is still growing like a good weed. After his ears heal, I’m going to send him to a two week in-house obedience school. He is going to be so big, I can’t take any chances on my ability to train (which is probably non-existent anyway
Later…….
