Sometimes, the way God

paints the sky is beyond incredible, beyond understanding. As I was driving in on Monday, there was a storm out over the bay, very thick black clouds blocking the sunrise. You could see the patterns of the rainfall spreading out. Although it was blocked, the sun’s rays nevertheless managed to be seen above the clouds, a kaleidescope of colors. That was to the east. I turned to the west and there was another cloud bank but this one was white. Again thick. So thick and so white that it reflected the kaleidescope back, creating a dual light source effect. Awesome. As I continued driving, I noticed a rainbow in one of the clouds, just in the cloud. Awesome. So, me being the bigjolly redneck that I am, I pull over right there on the highway, cars and trucks whizzing by and take a picture. No way a picture can capture the whole seen, perhaps a Kincaid painting could, but still I had to get something. When I arrived home and told SU about it, she mentioned that she had lunch with one of the workers at the old job and that she too had mentioned the glorious morning. Awesome.

It was just such a sky that made me finally stop doubting the existance of God, and start learning how I could get closer to Him.
