the skeptic heading up to Canton for the flea market thingie. I don’t like to shop all that much but, from time to time, I have enjoyed looking at all the junk at a flea market, so I just wasn’t sure about this trip. I mean, that’s quite a long way to go to walk around in icy weather looking at junk.
But I was most pleasantly surprised and rewarded with a great weekend. The weather was spectacular, sorta cold in the shade I guess but the brilliant skies made for that. And was there ever junk! Man, you’ve never seen so much junk. The best part for me was all of the small tables and such selling used “treasure”. The place certainly makes the phrase “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure” come to life. I’ve never in my life seen so much stuff in one general location. We didn’t even cover a third of it in about 12 hours of continuous shopping. Ended up buying a few things, not a lot of stuff but enough to let me know I went. We mostly walked around with another couple, so I didn’t have too much control over my time and if we ever go back, I’m going to go off by myself on picture excursions. Excellent place to look for color and patterns. Here’s a sample of what you can see and if you were by yourself there would be oh so many more and better!
