Very nice day

David Jennings · June 19, 2005 · 3 Comments

at church today. I thought we had a very good opening session in Sunday School, then class was most excellent. The guys had some good insight today, I hope and pray that they will begin to read the Word daily.

Pop preached today, that is always interesting in an out of world kind of way. Some day perhaps I’ll explain that in more detail, for now I’ll let it linger in the background. Lots of family in today, lets see, SS and C, SS and M, W, S, A, and BT. Plus B & R as usual. I hear SC is doing better, although she doesn’t email much. We all went to lunch at the Dinner Bell, quite nice. Then, SS bought me this awesome hunting/fishing/rednecking cap to wear! Really looks cool pulled down tight and low with my wrap around mirror reflecting shades.

On to Fathers Day and it was a good one. SU baked me some chocolate chip and pecan cookies yesterday, very nice. Watched 2 movies over the weekend. Then # 1 called me this morning to wish me a happy Fathers Day. # 2 called me this afternoon to do the same! How cool is that?

Oh, yeah, DJ’s Zeus von BoCephas gave me a nice wet nose greeting as well. Late.

Great day today, indeed…nice to see everyone a little more often. Father’s day isn’t quite the same these days for me, so I’m glad we spent this one together.

And you’ve GOTTA get a pic with the hat and shades posted…words don’t do “the look” justice. 🙂

That hat is so “you” Bro!! Have the SU take a photo so you can show the world the “look!”
Can’t wait to hear your detailed clarification of pops sermon (out of this world)…I think it will be interesting!
The sermon also helped me realize how Dad is really dealing with his years of emotional grief…very interesting indeed!
