As they say, things

never remain the same in a moving society. DR found a new gig and resigned from the plantation yesterday. Not a killer for me but he was my guitar guy. Gonna miss him, even his incessant rambling about SRV!

Had a great dinner last night with LB and friend, CH and spouse and me and SU. Went to Baytown Seafood in LaPorte. Only the second time I’ve been there, the first time SU and I walked out because of poor service. Service was okay last night and the food was excellent. I’m not sure how they manage to keep their prices so low and still have some of the best grilled snapper around but they do. All of their locations do that.

Anyways, enough about the food, the company was great. Really enjoyed it. Nice to see CH smiling. Don’t know if he was faking it or not, don’t care. Gotta do what you gotta do. First time to meet LB’s friend, Tammy, seems really nice. It’s hard sometimes meeting new people but this worked out really well.

Had to get up and run down to the plantation this morning for just a bit. Drive was longer than the time there. On the way back, I stopped in Kemah and took a couple of pics with the Sony A100 and the Tamron 200-400.

You know, we’ve never met but I know without a doubt that one of your spiritual gifts is encouragement. It is one of God’s special gifts, one that He Himself uses and you use it well. Thanks. 🙂

2 Corinthians 7:5-7 When we arrived in Macedonia province, we couldn’t settle down. The fights in the church and the fears in our hearts kept us on pins and needles. We couldn’t relax because we didn’t know how it would turn out. Then the God who lifts up the downcast lifted our heads and our hearts with the arrival of Titus. We were glad just to see him, but the true reassurance came in what he told us about you: how much you cared, how much you grieved, how concerned you were for me. I went from worry to tranquility in no time!
