Yeah, baby. I think I’m finally coming out of this one. Nothing like a good date night with SU to get the juices flowing again.
Not much happening at the plantation today so I was able to leave early and take Pop down for his MRI. Small world or at least Med Center. Saw a couple of church members there taking care of their parents. It’s very strange to see the old reversal of caregiving happening right before your very eyes.
Watched another good movie from Redbox tonight called The Guardian. Netflix hasn’t been delivering or I suppose to be more accurate I should say that the US Postal Service is slowing down. From the initial next day deliveries it went to 2 days and now looking like 3. I’d say it was a conspiracy but I’m like major sick of people talking about conspiracies. So I’ll just say the service is poor and leave it at that. Not sure if I’ll stick with Netflix or not after this month that I paid for.
Anyways, back to the movie, Kevin Costner plays an aging hero. Pretty standard stuff here, hero loses wife due to job, takes potential kid hero under his wing, helps potential hero ditch demons and realize potential, teaches life lesson. But it was very well done, even if the plot is tired and the acting so-so. Neal McDonough has Ray Liotta like eyes man, way cool, scary eyes.
So now it’s off to bed and rest up for the drive to The University tomorrow for lunch with 2 for her birthday. And 1 is supposed to drive over from the other university and join us. It’ll be a long day but I miss my girls and it will be nice to visit with the. Late.
