Been a fast couple of days

David Jennings · April 24, 2007 · 3 Comments

back at the plantation. Busy time of the year, keeps me occupied.

SU and I tried for the second time to finish Rosewood last night, the Netflix DVD stopped in the exact same position as the first one: 70 minutes, 48 seconds. Major bummer. Not sure we will ever finish that one. We then turned to the second half of the second DVD of Ken Burn’s Civil War. What carnage and suffering. And more dispelling of the myth that slavery had nothing to do with the war.

Fry’s had a super deal on a new monitor, just couldn’t pass it up. An LG 20.1″ TFT-LCD, 3,000-1 contrast, 2ms response. Wow! Incredible under Vista. Here is a screenshot:

That’s right, 1680×1050 native resolution! Incredible. The depth of color is awesome, especially when linking to a great photograph. Don at FauxNews took some nice pics in Singapore, the colors jump out at me on this monitor!

Is that Libronix Bible software in the background? It rocks! I have it up right now.

Yes, Neil, that is Libronix. My lifeline for studying the Bible and historical texts. Great tool. With my new monitor, I’ve been able to create a much better workspace. Check this one out:
