since I posted. Funny how that works. This time, I think there was just too much to write about and I didn’t want to take the time to jot everything down; therefore, I jotted nothing down! See how that works?
Been playing the guitar a lot lately, I really want to learn to play better and more. Man, barre chords are tough, at least to get a good tone. Switching back and forth between some chords is difficult. I do see progress, so all is not lost, but I wish it would come faster.
SU, 1 and I went to Anderson Fair last night to listen to some acoustic music. Went there to hear the Sidehill Gougers but they were very limited in what they could do because their female singer was sick and had no voice. Bummer, the reviews are so good. I thought they were ok and the lead guy was good but I would have liked to hear them together. Because she wasn’t feeling well, they had an opening act (very unusual at AF), a couple of young guys calling themselves The Deadringers. One was very talented, the other was funny. Pretty fun, they just played too long. Should’ve left it to 3-5 songs, instead they stretched it into a full hour. The good one (I think his name was Shane) was playing the Gougers Gibson J45, great tone. I really liked that guitar. See where I’m going with this?
Been working on a new song, Cry Out to Jesus by Third Day. Maybe BT can play it on the piano. Hmm.
Going to SU’s side of the family’s Thanksgiving this evening. BIL should be there, maybe we can talk. Late.
