and then a long ride with SU on the Marauder makes for a great Saturday!
We had 11 of our riders show up at Mamacitas yesterday for breakfast. Didn’t even know that they served breakfast, mostly I know them for their very good fajitas and Mamaritas. The breakfast was okay I guess, just not used to having refried beans at 8 o’clock on a Saturday (or any other day) morning. But it was a good time and nice to be with the guys.
Later in the afternoon, SU and I took of for a ride. What a gorgeous day (matches the gorgeous girl). We rode around LaPorte for a bit then we out to the San Jacinto Monument. I haven’t been there in a while, they now have the main road blocked. So we went around to the Battleship side and guess what? Now you have to pay a buck a person to get in. Sheez, it doesn’t seem to me like they could make enough money to pay the guard’s salary but what do I know.
If you think we aren’t being invaded from the south, I invite you to go to the monument. 90% or more of the visitors were of Hispanic background. I probably just never noticed it before but they have the Mexican, Spainish and one other flag (white with yellow something) flying evenly with the US, Colonial and Lone Star. Bummer.
And lest you think I don’t know my country, I made a 100 on this quiz!
Thanks for taking our quiz! You scored 100%!
