Dang, Al Gore would be so mad

at me right now if he knew what I did! A couple of days ago, I made the most awesomest pot of beans I’ve made in a while. And I’ve made some great pots of beans! So simple, so easy, so CHEAP!

Took a half cup of each of these: red kidney, white and black. Soaked overnight (but didn’t have any potato’s to catch, you know). In the morning, I combined them with a quarter cup each of red, yellow and green peppers, plus a small onion. All chopped of course. Tossed in 6 sliced pickled jalapenos for good measure.

Put them in the crock pot whilst at work. That’s right, no salt, no spices at all. Other than the japs. They were great!

That was Monday. Usually takes a couple of days to, um, how do I say this, kick in. Yeah. So, today, they kicked in.

Whoohoo! I could fuel a small city!

Took SU to the big bird sanctuary this morning for her flight to Florida.

So…guess what I had for supper? The rest of the beans! Yes! By Friday, there will be no need for a US energy policy! Like I said, no potato’s were available. 5-4-3-2-1………..Liftoff!
