today, some productive some not. Gotta recap them now or I’ll forget.
First, forgot if I mentioned my Amazon order came in or not. Got a couple more Brendan Manning books (author of Ragamuffin Gospel) in addition to an extra copy of RMG to give away. Not sure to whom I’m going to give it to yet. Also got the new Dekker book in, Showdown, can’t wait to curl up and check it out.
I’m using PCLINUXOS right now, still pretty impressive. Man, this “streamtuner” thing is like Sirius on steroids. I’m listening to the Young Turks right now, they’re pretty good for left wingers. I listen to them on Sirius when I’m in the truck between 5-8, which isn’t very often. You know, I’ve been listening to mostly left wing talk for the last month or two, not quite sure why. There is some weird stuff to be sure but there is also some truth that you just don’t hear elsewhere. There is probably a way to listen to this on other op systems, I just don’t know how and don’t need to learn (although I will). Yeah, I think that pclos is better than Mephis right now. Very stable. Worth the streamtuner alone, although that will run on most Linux systems.
Had a very nice talk today with one of our visitors to class. We are going to meet next week for coffee and more conversation. We talked a long time today about a dozen different topics, it was very enjoyable. Then I went by the halfway house but DP wasn’t there, so I left him a note.
SU and I had our usual Thursday night date at El Toro, nice way to end the day. Late.
