Getting ready for the long

David Jennings · August 15, 2007 · 2 Comments

drive home this evening. I’m not going to drive stright through but not sure where I’m going to lay my head for the evening either. Kinda fun playing it by ear, hope to get a few pics along the way.

It’s been fun up in the high country. Very hot but it is true, the humidity back home is worse. And I’m in a county with 1.2 million beef cattle at feed, prepping them for the market, the smell is, well, let’s just say I’m ready for stinka dena air.

The guys here are like sponges, soaking up everthing. Nice. Wish the guys at my plantation we like that. Course, it could just be pretend and when I leave, they’re going to relax and laugh at the way they fooled me. But I don’t think so.

I did do my Bible study this morning, but will wait to update it when I get home. I’m not much for typing on laptops.

That does make it easier when you have an interested audience. My mind isn’t really a sponge though. It’s more of a Hoover. Flip the switch and it sucks.
