Had a pretty good

David Jennings · March 2, 2006 · Leave a Comment

evening at church yesterday. An old friend was there, AM, long time since I’d seen him. His mama was sure happy he was there. We talked a bit, not much, it was just good to see him. He’s doing well, still teaching at Southmore Intermediate, Tx history, esl, etc. Sounds like he’s well adjusted. Has kids ages 4 through 16, bet that is interesting.

The pastor is still talking about the creation, even handed out his own translation of the first chapter of Genesis. Never seen him do that before. Afterwards we spent time going over the songs for Sunday’s service.

BIL is still holding on. I get confused when SU uses the term awake, as in when he is awake, he’s agitated, twitchy and tries to get out of bed. When I ask about that, she tries to explain that he doesn’t hear or respond, that mostly they are auto responses, but it is still confusing to me. If he’s awake, he’s awake, right? Apparently not.

How long must 1 struggle like this? How long before her stamina allows her to go up and down the stairs without feeling exhausted? It’s hard to see her like this but she’s handling it pretty well. I wish she could get out and enjoy the sun, it has so many healing powers. Maybe I’ll lock up the buddy boy so she can sit on the deck in peace. Yeah, maybe I’ll do that.
