Have you ever said something

David Jennings · December 15, 2005 · Leave a Comment

stupid, so stupid you knew it the minute you said it? Well, that’s me in a nutshell. Why do I do that? It’s like, I don’t know, as soon as I get the opportunity, I stick my foot in my mouth! What a disease! I wonder if the American Psychiatric Association has this as a recognized disease? If so, when you look it up, there’s my ugly mug staring at you!

Tonight, I did it to SU. Why on earth I would choose the ONE person who actually is on my side to insult, I’ll never know but there it was. Not only the foot but the ankle and the knee! Now, picture that! I dare you!

Anyways, why is it that I do that? I wonder if it is one of those universal things that we do to those closest to us or if it is just my “thorn in the side”? (haha, isn’t that an overused, misunderstood, wrongly used phrase???)

At least I was quick to recognize and apologize. Hey, for me an apology happens about as frequently as….oh, nevermind, whatever you just put there would incriminate me! Late.
