I am but a stench

David Jennings · March 19, 2006 · 2 Comments

in the nostrils of God. Wow. I’d forgotten how vile Christians can be sometimes. Well, friend, that quote is directly from the prayer of one of our new members tonight at church. And trust me, he is a valued member because he gives a fair amount of money to the church, unlike some of the other new members.

Man, as bad as I was trying to sing this morrning, I’m not a stench to God’s nostrils. No wonder people don’t want to come to church. If this is what we put forth as our finest, we have a problem, Houston. My goodness, this is awful. Late.

Perhaps this “Christian” was trying to encourage someone who has low self esteem??? A stench in God’s nostrils..that is definitely a conversation starter!

I was there and I assure you the song was very good non-karaoke stuff. Head up Bigjolly.
