I hate Daylight Savings

David Jennings · March 23, 2007 · Leave a Comment

time! I like to get to the plantation very early in the morning and love to watch the sunrise as I drive down the coast. Alas, DST screws that up and all I get to see are headlights and billboards.

SU has been really busy at work this week, one of the execs in her group is down. We did manage to make it to the remote kitchen last night and had a great time. Afterwards, we watched the fifth episode in the second season of Battlestar Galactica. Nice evening.

We are leading a women’s retreat this weekend at a church in Dayton. Actually, she’s doing all the work, I’m just popping in to start each of the three sessions with a bit of praise and worship music. Haven’t decided which guitar to use but thinking about the Taylor 810. Been playing it a lot lately, it has a soft, complex voice, not boomy like most dreads.

I’m having a hard time focusing on things spiritual lately. In the abstract sense. Things seem so concrete and certain to me that I wonder sometimes if I’ve strayed off the path of seeking. Sounds strange but it feels that way. I’m questioning the whole basis of organizational religion at the same time that my belief and faith has never, ever been more sure and certain. Like I said, strange.
