I heard one of the most bizarre

David Jennings · December 12, 2006 · Leave a Comment

comments I think I’ve ever heard today regarding the internet. Tom Delay was on the radio and said (paraphrase), “I needed to get into the blogsphere because there aren’t enough conservatives on the internet to combat the liberals.” Huh? It reminds me of President Bush 41 at the supermarket counter.

Now, seriously folks, I realize that in the land of trailer parks and doublewides, the Bigjolly isn’t considered an intellectual heavyweight. But as I slouch here over my TRS-80 with my state of the art 300 baud modem pedaling down the median of Al Gore’s invention, it strikes me as rather odd that anyone would say that. Unless you know exactly where you are going on Mr. Gore’s idea, you will find yourself tripping, stumbling, yea crashing into any number of conservative blogs that treat anything left of Mr. Hun as anathema.

Really, Mr. Delay. You should drop by the doublewide and let me help you surf.
