I suppose I could say

David Jennings · November 15, 2006 · 3 Comments

that today was an interesting day but I’m not sure that is the word. Good, yes, but interesting? Hmm, jury’s still out on that one.

Left work a bit early to attend the meeting of the Governors Commission on Property Taxes held at St. Thomas. Frankly, it was a yawner. Dan blew a gasket, as I knew he would sooner or later. He’s going to have a very tough time dealing with the boys in Austin. At least he has passion, lacking in most people today.

Tonight I went with SU to a small group Bible study meeting at someone’s house. It was my second time, we went last week as well. Very awkward. As in, very awkward. Did someone say awkward?

There were just 5 of us there tonight, me/SU, one other couple (SU’s friend) and the host, a single lady. Getting there was most of the problem, after that, it was alright. I finally threw out a question that’s been bugging me – why are there so many hurting people in the church? Not in the world, I’m talking about believers who attend church. Doesn’t make sense to me. Still doesn’t.

I’m not sure if this is something I like or want to do more of, but for now I’m just walking through another door that has opened. And there is a guy there that I’m supposed to try and help, that I know. So, no matter how awkward, I’ll be back. Didn’t Arnold say that?

Oh, I almost forgot, took a picture of the sun coming up this morning, once again from Dickinson Bayou looking out over the bay.

Photoshop? It’s all about location! And 1 1/2 stops underexposure in this case.
