such a good day at church Sunday, I was down a bit yesterday. I mean, you don’t want good things to stop, you know? That and the fact that 2 hasn’t checked in yet from Italy. That child is going to drive us nuts one day.
The tension was pretty high around the trailer yesterday. SU’s worry about 2 is pretty severe, as only a mother’s worry can be. Top that off with her trying to repair the walls and it made for a rough day for her.
I went to Walgreen’s late in the afternoon and decided to pick up a couple of pints of ice cream. Told the kid behind the counter that I was taking a chance. The ice cream would either drive her straight over the top (why are women always dieting?) or it would make her feel better.
It made her feel better. Whew.
What is it about New Orleans that drives me crazy? I think it is because I want it to go back to the NOLA of my youth, when it was all about music, culture and a few crazy people. Now it is 99% about crazy people and their vision of culture. Anyways, I posted a note about it on Lone Star Times just because.
Stopped at Dickinson Bayou this morning on the way down and took a couple of pics. One day, I’m going to take a picture from that location that represents what I see in my mind, then be done with it and move on. Until then…..
