Is it a different era or what?

David Jennings · June 21, 2006 · Leave a Comment

I received an email this morning from SSh containing a link to an archived cartoon from 1948. The cartoon talks about why America is the greatest nation to be assembled to date in the history of mankind. It’s been a long time since I had viewed one of these videos and I had forgotten about them. They used to be ubiquitous, played in movie theatres, schools and civic gatherings to reinforce the necessity of unity of purpose for our country. Alas, they are so politically incorrect today that we will not see a revival of such; no, instead we are fed a steady stream of Michael Moore fantasies, George Clooney bs or George Soros’ liberal philosophy. Not counting the garbage that passes for entertainment on television.

At any rate, I’ll save this link for my own posterity.

“This Cold War-era cartoon uses humor to tout the dangers of Communism and the benefits of capitalism.”
