It was a long day

David Jennings · February 25, 2006 · Leave a Comment

for 2 but she finally made it home around midnight, about 5 hours after she planned to be here. It was her first real experience with car trouble (dead battery) and she survived. Bruised, battered and torn, but survived.

As for 1, she continues to recover (and to amaze). The cards, letters and calls really help, thank you. It seems like she gains a little strength every day and you can begin to see that she will recover eventually. Of course, she’ll still have to deal with the lifelong thing but after watching and observing, I have no doubt that she’ll be fine. Still a month or more away from getting rid of the mono, but a little improvement really shines.

In the world of computing, Pinkie just purrs away doing her thing, 1 uses her a lot. It’s very nice to not worry about drivers, etc. The only driver I had to install was for the wireless, it wasn’t an Apple brand so it wasn’t easy, but everything else works great. I’m on the quad now, booted into pclos, it is a great system. Let me tell you, the streaming radio thing is awesome. I need to see if there are streamers for Windows, I’m sure there are, just never knew about them. At first I said it was like Sirius on steroids but it’s way beyond that. Much more like shortwave used to be except with digital clarity. Want to find a right wing, suvivalist that predicts the end of the earth next week? No problem. Want to find a left wing, leaf eating fruitcake? No problem. And everything in between. I’m listening to country gospel as we speak. Awesome. I wish there was a way to build a small system that I could put by my bed to stream this. Hmmm, interesting project. Bet I could come up with something………..someday. Too many projects right now. Late.
