JM and I played a few

David Jennings · February 11, 2006 · Leave a Comment

songs at the Men’s Prayer Breakfast this morning. Wasn’t such a great guitar playing experience for me, I didn’t warm up and it really showed. But, that’s the beauty of playing with JM, if one of us screws up, the other one quite possibly is on the right track! Hmm, might talk more about having someone watching your back later.

Decided to play with the iMacs a little more. There was an old box in 1’s room that hadn’t been used in a few years, so I looked in it and guess what? Oh, yeah, an old 256 meg chip! Popped it in Ruby and shazaam, she now has 320 meg. What a performance boost. And when I turn Pinkie off, I’m going to put in the other 64 meg chip, boosting her to 576 meg (hey, every little bit helps when it comes to memory). I have the latest OS from Apple, OS X, on Pinkie, it is based on Unix and is somewhat more comfortable to me. I upgraded Ruby to the last true Mac system, OS 9.2.2 and might just leave her that way for now. Oh, yeah, I forgot, Pinkie has a DVD and Ruby just has a CD, neither one is a burner. Hey, what did you expect for $50?

Oh, well, gotta go and finish up my outline for tomorrow. If the wind dies down, I’m takng Buddy on a walk. Late.
