We’re still here! How about that. Against all odds, the company is still around. I think we’re gonna be here a lot longer than people think. It’s interesting as I search for ways to reduce costs just how many opportunities there are. For instance, this morning I found and cancelled 3 land lines and 1 cell phone which will save 300/mo ongoing. When I called Verizon to cancel, they couldn’t find any minutes used for the last 2 years. That’s right, 2 years (at a minimum, probably several more) of paying 41.80/mo for something never used. And NOBODY questioned it. No wonder this company was in such bad shape.
Kaia is having severe roommate troubles. She called yesterday and was happy because she was getting a new roommate but when Terri talked to her later, something had happened with that and she was all bummed out. Terri and I prayed for her that God’s will would be done in putting the right roommate with her. She needs to be concentrating on studying and having fun, not worried about roommates. She has a paper due Friday, hope she takes it seriously.
Katlyn is still blossoming. She’s really coming into her own, even to the point of doing some things on her own behalf. Now that’s impressive!
Terri has had a couple of rough days at work dealing with some personality issues. She still seems to like the job though, which is encouraging.
Zeus is a real pain in the butt sometimes. He’s growing so fast and has so much energy that 2 walks a day aren’t cutting it. He can now drag the furniture around the deck, which really ticks Terri off. He’s torn up all of our garden lighting, which really ticked Terri off. He’s demolished half of the plants around the deck, which really ticks Terri off. Did I mention that Terri is ticked off? He’s such a cool guy though, I think she will put up with him if I can just get some boundaries set. You should’ve seen him the other day on our walk, a big standard poodle came out like he was going to bite Terri and got too close to her. Zeus about pulled my arm off going for that stupid, ugly dog’s throat even though the other dog was twice as big. Give it a few months and let that stupid dog come at us again, I’ll just “accidentally” lose control of the lease and that will be that.
As for me, well, I’m hangin’.
Later.
