Oh, my.

I thought my night was rough. Then, after about 2 1/2 hours of sleep, I log on and find out a bus from Bellaire has burned and killed about 20 people. Oh wow.

Well, as for our night, I made another nurse run at 1:15 am and picked up 5 more nurses from Ok City for a total of 9 extra helpers. Then, we traveled to Pasadena and went to the sister site there and picked up supplies. Extra mattresses and medical supplies. We are sleeping on “lumpy”, I gotta search Wal-Mart to see if they have a picture of this thing. Suffice to say for now, there is NO truth in advertising.

Talk about a weird site. We are coming back from Pasa at 4:47 am on the South Loop by Broadway and something darts out in front of us. I’m going only about 40 mph, so it kinda unfolds in slow motion. Then another and another and we are suddenly looking at a family of raccoons. Yes, raccoons on the 610 loop! I was going slow enough to avoid hitting any of them, they all made it safe, although I did advise them to look right, left and then back right before stepping out into the roadway next time! Hey, I guess this storm has everyone evacuating!

Lot’s more strange things like this are happening around us, hopefully I’ll remember some of them for later. As for now, back to work. Late.
