Overall, had a nice

New Year’s Day. Took much longer than I thought it would to put SU’s seat back on the Marauder but I got ‘er done and we went for a ride. Cold. Brr. Cold. Ended up at Denny’s drinking coffee. Brr. Cold. Pretty much all we did. Bought a book to read. Read a bit.

Back to work today, entering that long stretch of very few company paid day’s off. New Year’s resolution – evaluate current employment. Win lottery.

Strange prose. Not sure where that came from. Skipped visitation tonight but it is NOT MY FAULT! SU called, I was almost to the church. She had a better offer. Guess what I chose? Of course, she says it was my idea, she was just calling to give me an update on her blown evening. Right.

Need to take off and ride in the Patriot Guard tomorrow but I don’t think the timing is right at the plantation. We’ll see when I wake up. There are 2 more dead soldiers (besides the one in Lake Jackson tomorrow) in the area this week, one in Dickinson and one in Spring. 1 (one) heard from hero, he is back in Baghdad. Within an hour of his landing, he was sent on a mission. Although it sounds harsh, in reality, I think it is a good policy. In his situation, dwelling on the past could do him great harm. Literally.

Still thinkin’ about the death penalty. Just can’t come to grips with it, it used to be so easy. Really confused about a lot of things lately, that is just one. What is salvation? Mostly centered around religion, not faith.

So, not much to rest my mind with except lurking around other blogs and takin’ pictures, although I haven’t had much spark there either. SU and I took the 2.5 mile loop around the trailer park yesterday (before the ride) and I took this pic of my pepperbush. SU and 2 laughed at it but I kinda like it. I’ll soon tire of Photoshop but for now, I just like the abstract patterns and colors of nature.
