Overall, it was a pretty

productive weekend but man, was it ever hot! Worked on the garage both days, amazing how stuff piles up and you can’t get anything in or out. Biggest move was moving Buddy out, sorry dude, but SU comes first. She’ll be parking her new car inside now and the space nearest the walkway is best for her, so out you go. Hey, it’s a large yard and you have a nice cage and house, you just don’t want to use it!

So, anyways, that was the biggest project. I’m only about halfway done, still a ways to go but the car is in and most of the debris is out. Now, to purchase a garage door opener that is compatible with the switch on the rearview mirror of the Sonato, install it and say, hey baby, wanna park in my garage????

Church was interesting. Screwed up the rythmn on one of the songs I played in class, then my lesson pretty much sucked. Maybe I need to find a sub for awhile. Gonna take one Sunday off at the end of the month for the motorcycle safety class. I digress. The service was strange, the pastor used it to begin fundraising for another building. So much for the statement that the committee was formed to explore the options, not to be a building committee. Yeah, right. And it is always interesting to be called evil from the pulpit. Yep, I’m on the side of evil, it’s that simple. No kidding, that is what he said. Oh, not me specifically, just anyone who doesn’t approve of his plan to build right now. Let’s see, how did he put it? Oh, yeah, that’s right, it went something like, on this hand, we have the good guys, the Godly people, you know, us, and on the other hand, we have those that are against us, the Devil’s people. Yeah, I suppose that would be me. It’s not like I’m going to fight against it or anything, I’m just not (at this time) going to support it. It isn’t like I’m against building churches; heck, SU and I committed to and fulfilled a fairly substantial (for us) monthly stipend for the last 3 years on the building we just moved into. And that was when I was unemployed, it just felt like the right thing to do. And this doesn’t. Today.

Next week at church should be fun. The pastor is off on vacation and RSa is going to do the preaching whilst I get to lead the music. Haven’t heard RSa in awhile, I like him even if Pop doesn’t. It’s nice to know that other people struggle as much as I do and aren’t perfect, which is, in a nutshell, RSa. Although I decided not to sing a solo in the traditional spot, I think I’m going to start the service with a tune called Grace, a little song I’ve been playing on the Washburn J-1 through my GNX1 using a little echo and delay. That ought to wake everyone up! Of course, it also might get me banned from the traditional service but that’s okay, I’m a little bit evil anyway!
