Pinkie is undergoing

major surgery as we speak. Here she is after anesthesia and having her sternum cracked open:

In this one, the new (old) 28.6 gig hard drive has been installed, partitions deleted, partition created and OS X is being installed. Note that I haven’t fully put her back together.

And for every organ recipient, there is of course a donor, in this case an older P3 that had already donated a 512 meg chip to her.

I checked out the picture cd that JM gave me on Pinkie, it opened the same pics in less than 5 seconds that took BlueBoy 3 minutes. Pretty big difference there. I’m going to pop in the 64 meg chip from Pinkie and see if it helps the blue fella pick up some speed. More to come.;
