Pretty good morning

David Jennings · February 5, 2006 · Leave a Comment

at church. JM and I played a couple of extra songs – actually it was a strategic move because SU was sick and I was trying to decrease the amount of teaching time! How’s about that for a good move? I thought the singing was pretty good today. I think our class went ok, the guys didn’t have all that much to say but then again, it was the third week on a similar topic so it might be worn out, you know. Didn’t stay for church, it was the yearly tithing pitch, so we went on to the house.

Decided to continue my experience with Linux and rebuilt the box upstairs that had been for 2 in the past. She has a laptop now, so the only thing we’ve been using it as is a printer server since our printer downstairs has about given up the ghost. So, as I type this, I’m running Mepis on a P4 1.6 ghz machine with 256mb memory. Sooooo much faster. I think I’ll dig around and see if I can find another mem chip to increase that a bit. Hmm, wonder what it would run like on a box loaded with an AMD 64 bit processor running at 3+ghz, 800mhz+ FSB and 1 gig of PC3200 memory?????

I’m telling you, Linux is going to stress Bill Gates out……………
