Sunday, all in all. Some lively discussion in class, good participation. BIL didn’t make it (or call) so JM filled in. Admirably, I must say. Truth be told, we can now handle it, although BIL is a special type player and adds more than just the guitar. And I even got involved, playing Amazing Love. Actually, it was kinda cool doing that, I’ll just have to keep practicing so that I can do it again.

Lunch with Pop, he’s doing all right. Haven’t spent much time with him recently, not quite sure why. Others have been taking up the slack, Sister Sharon in particular. Good to see.

Finished 2 books while I was on vacation. First one was a Stephen Coonts book, not much to talk about. Subpar for him, vocabulary and plot line was below Jethro’s education level. This morning, I finished a Dean Koontz book, The Taking. Not your typical Koontz horror thriller to be sure. Much more introspective than normal. I think perhaps Koontz has experienced something of a spiritual awakening. There were some very interesting insights to be mined from this one, I’ll mull it over (and over and over) before I determine how much I liked it. Are there periodic cleansings of humanity?
