I’ve decided to decipher some of the words Koontz uses. The English language is amazing; even more amazing are authors that have the ability to use the language well.
Beyond the understanding of an average mind: abstruse, deep, esoteric, profound. Slang heavy. See easy/hard, surface/depth.
1. Not easily understood; abstruse. See synonyms at ambiguous.
2. Concerned with or treating something abstruse or obscure: recondite scholarship.
3. Concealed; hidden.
concealed; deep; having to do with something obscure
Now, if I can just work this into a conversation!
