way to explain how I was earlier today. Or perhaps more accurately, anxiety attack would be the explaination.
All because I’m planning to do something just a little different at church tomorrow, just a little out of the ordinary for me. As in play an electric guitar instead of an acoustic. It’s a neat little praise song called Grace and my intention is to use my Washburn J-3 running through the Digitech GNX-1 for a little bit of chorus and echo. Not much, just a bit. But all day long I’ve been thinking about that and getting more and more nervous. I mean, it’s for the traditional service, not the contemporary. I never get a chance for the contemporary so I either take my shot or I don’t. My fear is that half of the old folks will have scowls on their faces and the other half will get up and leave!!!
Went to dinner last night with a couple from our class. Actually, went to listen to music with dinner thrown in. Of course, to SU, it was the other way around. But I think she really liked it. We saw the Pee Wee Bowen Band at Big Daddy’s in Clear Lake. Food was burgers, steaks and Po’ Boys, pretty standard fare. But ol’ Pee Wee can really sing and is a great entertainer. To gather courage for tomorrow, I ordered up some Boudin Balls for an appetizer.
Not sure they worked yet.

I wish I could be there to hear you. Contemporary or traditional, God’s love touches both services. Your song will bless those who hear it, because your heart is pure and you’re praising our Father. So, just let Him fill you with His spirit, open your mouth, and let it rip!
