stuff is happening around me and in the news. The news is full of murder, mayhem and madness as usual but there are also a lot of just weird things going on. Who’d a thunk that the French are thinking about attacking Iran?
Yet another Repub politician is going to bite the dust. This one is a long serving senator from Idaho, caught trying to get his pants down in a bathroom stall in an airport. Just plain weird. Get a room already. If history is any indication, the Repubs will kick him out pretty quick. Maybe it’s early enough to save the Senate seat for a Repub but in any case, the perv has to go.
The more I read citizen’s comments about illegal aliens, the more I think racism is the biggest factor in their rants. The tone, the words, the seemingly endless parade of “outrage” without bothering to check facts is forcing me to distance myself from their position. Oftentimes, we make choices based upon the supporters of a position. This is one of those times. There are problems associated with illegal aliens and I’ve noted them often and at times, with vitriol. But when blatant racists start taking over the call, I have to reevaluate the macro position I’ve taken.
This is a rushed week for 2. She leaves Sunday for Italy and the time crunch is upon her. It’s been a big project for her and like any late teen, she refuses help, wanting to do everything on her own. That’s just the way it is at her age, we’ve been trying to help without stepping on her toes, a hard thing to do at times. But we’re all trying to get along as they say.
She’s going to have a great adventure and memories for a lifetime. I’m pretty proud that she’s done this and can’t wait to share in the stories and photos.
Completely out of my darkness now and back to full joy. That’s an awesome thing. So many people praying about it, all I had to do was ask.
Started to ride the bike today but lightning was surround the trailer park. Good thing I didn’t, hit a hard shower on the way down the coast. It’s one thing to get wet on the ride home, quite another at 6 in the morning on the way to the plantation. Maybe tomorrow.
