There is no distinction

of color at the foot of the cross. That is the line I best remember from a remarkable movie that we watched tonight, Billy Graham: God’s Ambassador.

What an impact this man has had on the world. I never knew much about him other than he would be on TV once in a while. Oh, I suppose I knew that he was an effective evangelist and all but I never really knew it, if you know what I mean.

But what an impact he’s had. I didn’t know of his involvement in the civil rights movement. I didn’t know that he financially supported Martin Luther King, Jr. or that he refused to participate in segregated services. That is where the quote came from.

I did know of his meetings with world leaders but failed to understand the impact of them. Highly recommended.

Last night, SU and I had a very nice dinner at the remote. Then watched Miss Ever’s Boys, a movie about the Tuskeegee experiment, where blacks were denied treatment for syphilis. The things we do to each other out of fear. Unbelievable.
