Trans-Texas Corridor Sham

David Jennings · October 12, 2006 · Leave a Comment

One of the most overlooked “controversies” in Texas is the land-grabbing, border opening sham that is named the Trans-Texas Corridor. Finally this week, the week the open records trial was to start, the Governor (aka Hairdo) released the secret details of the contract he signed with a Spanish company. It will take weeks to unearth all of the fine print but suffice to say Governor Hairdo’s quote speaks volumes about the current state of our governmental bodies, on all levels, as reported by Rebeca Chapa:

The delay and eventual release was not intended to hide anything untoward or give him an electoral advantage, Perry said this week at a meeting with the Express-News Editorial Board.

“There is no big secret,” said Perry, the project’s chief cheerleader. “If we’d waited until December, I doubt there’d be one vote change. I really don’t care if there is one vote changed.”

Yep, that’s right, Gov. Goodhair doesn’t care if anyone changes their vote because he’s already signed this boondoggle. Just wait until the company from Spain starts taking over deer leases, small farms and ranches through eminent domain. Then there will be “outrage”. But you won’t be able to do anything about it. Not to mention open borders from the Pacific port in Mexico all the way to the first customs stop in Kansas City.

Stop it now; vote for whomever is # 2 in the polls on election day, EVEN IF it is Democrat Chris Bell. Way harder for me than you but I’m going to do it anyway.
