well this evening. Small turnout but enough with each pair taking two. The two that Pop and I visited were both home, always a bonus. One of them was a couple that visited our class a couple of weeks ago, talked to the husband, he indicated that he liked it and would be back. The other visit was to a set of twins (I think) that were in the 4th or 5th grade probably. Talked to their mother, she said that the girls enjoyed it and would be back. Hope I can talk the mother into checking it out as well.
Big scandal at church – someone left a nasty note about the music on the back of a visitors card. Pop wants Gwen to compare the handwriting with other visitor cards to figure out who it is. Kinda funny to me. Probably was a member.
Interest in computers has waned already, it happens like that everytime for me. I mean, once it works, it works. And the quad works well, now setup as Windows XP on hda, Ubuntu on hdb1, PCLinuxOS on hdb2 and Mephis on hdb3. All work well, I think Ubuntu is probably the fastest on the old machine but has the worst interface, Gnome. Windows is Windows, if you get it set right, it works well (it’s set right). Mephis and pclos are both good Linux distros and newbies can use them.
I’m beginning to think that Trust is different from Faith. Trust is harder because it must be used to prove or build faith. Kind of like what James said, “faith without works is dead” but maybe like “faith without trust is just an intellectual exercise”. I think I should read the book and see what Manning has to say – he gets paid for it. Late.
