answer the question of why we sin in class today, but it was a good discussion nonetheless. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of guys that actually studied the material. So much so that I called and changed our order for the next quarter to the same series of books that we are using this quarter. The daily readings/studies seem to be catching on and I know that they are effective. Good deal.
Low turnout, I’m guessing that everyone is still on their spring break schedule. SU and I skipped out on the worship service and met 1 for lunch on her way back to school. One thing that I need to get done before they both return again is to widen the drive. I have ruts deeper than the Rio Grande. Not good for the trailer park.
Heading out to the rodeo again this afternoon, get to see ZZ Top close it down. Been a while since I saw the little ol’ band from Texas live and am looking forward to it despite the poor sound system. Of course, Dusty just lives in the next trailer park over, so I’ve seen him around from time to time.
Sin never truly satisfies. Still pondering that one.

Hey Big Jolly,
We sin (rebellion) because it’s our nature. From the moment of our birth we are sinners. Unless we are born again, you can be sure we will choose sin and remain object’s of wrath. Sin is the most deadly disease known to the human race – 100% fatal. There is but One atonement for this condition – the blood of Christ.
Blessing to you and your family.

Deacon KnowGood,
But why do Christians sin? Yes, it is our nature, but why do we knowingly sin after accepting atonement for our sin? That is what is puzzling to me. Paul noted in Romans chapter 7 that he wants to do good, but doesn’t, but can because of Christ.
So, why don’t we? Rely on Christ and not sin?
