What an absolutely

gorgeous day it is outside! Wow. I just walked in from a great lunch sitting under a cottonwood on the picnic table overlooking Highland Bayou. Nice breeze, clear sky, just a few wispy white clouds, fish jumping in the Bayou (why do they do that I wonder?), birds chirping. Charred a big hunk of bovine over the fire. What a glorious day!

Rode the Marauder to work again today. Made sure I switched out the tinted face shield this morning, um, just a little difference it made. Brought the tinted one with me though for the ride home. Great helmet, takes about 10 seconds to switch them out. Piliing on the miles preparing for the big Pickett House run Saturday. I looked it up on the internet to see if they had a site and was totally surprised at the changes. I haven’t been there in years. What once was an old house with a little souvenir shop up front is now a full fledged tourist attraction called Heritage Village. Sure hope the food is still as good as I want to remember.

Went to visitation last night (yep, rode the bike there) with Pop. Our visit wasn’t home, so it was a short night. I think Pop is finally seeing the light on one of the new members that just became a deacon (only a year after I told him). But, the guy is working at it so what the heck, let him get his glory as a deacon. Whatever glory comes with that job.

Oh well, suppose I should go back outside and enjoy. Perhaps I’ll bring my wireless router that I have sitting in the closet at home. Then I can check my email and various blog sites while I’m sitting at the picnic table!
