40+ miles of experience today! Got home around 4:30 and headed out. Major wind gusts, so I chose the half-helmet and stayed grounded to sideroads. Even then you could feel the wind, especially when passing by pastures and open fields. Might as well say, Blow me over, Dano!
Feeling much, much more comfortable on the Marauder. The forward controls are a nice addition. Ordered a new seat that I think will make it even more comfortable, especially on longer rides. Hopefully, it will arrive prior to the big Pickett House Run but who knows these days with vendors. Forward controls arrived from Spain via Italy in 3 days for no extra cost (delivered price was $30-50 lower than the lowest prices on the bay). Since the seat is in America, it will probably take 18 weeks and end up costing 18 times the quoted price. Just kidding! But holding fingers crossed.
Seems like I learn something everyday as well. Today it was this: if you wear a traditional button front shirt with a collar, make certain that the collar is a button down one. As in, I didn’t and will probably be laying in bed tonight feeling the collar slapping my cheeks!
