Wow, what a fun

David Jennings · May 6, 2005 · Leave a Comment

night I had last night! BIL and JM came over and we practiced (and practiced and practiced) for Saturday’s Men’s Prayer Breakfast. Lot of fun, for sure. Mostly playing, but JM got there a little early (actually, on time, but early for BIL) and we got sit out on the deck and talk a bit. Then BIL arrived and it was do it again, do it again, do it again…..My fingers were about bloody. But, it surely was fun, great way to spend an evening.

Yesterday morning, I had to get a baby possum out of the pool. Zeus was yelping and running around, the poor little possum was shivering he was so cold. Then, # 2 had to get him out (or his sibling) yesterday afternoon. Guess what? He (or yet another one) was in there again this morning. It was funny to watch him actually play possum, he looked so peaceful in death. Bud was going nuts, he wanted to be done with him. Actually got his mouth around his head at one point. But, me being the sensitive liberal I’ve become, I decided to let him live. Did you know possum’s could fly? I didn’t until I used the pool scooper as a fulcrum and let it rip. He didn’t stop until about 30 yards away, 20 ft in the air when he hit a branch with lots of leaves. Then, he fell on the other side of the fence. Bud was going nuts at that point, he likes to track things. Oh, well, so much for my fun this morning. Late.
