kidding me. This story is just incredible – FEMA ordered to resume Katrina housing payments
Do you ever want to just pull your hair out and say enough is enough? Unbelievable but check out this quote:
“It is unfortunate, if not incredible, that FEMA and its counsel could not devise a sufficient notice system to spare these beleaguered evacuees the added burden of federal litigation to vindicate their constitutional rights,” Leon wrote.
Beleaguered evacuees? C’mon! Did anyone mention that it’s been over a year since New Orleans flooded? “Burden of federal litigation”? Burden? Burden? If it’s such a burden, why are there lawyers lining up to file the stupid lawsuits.
In some cases, their homes had been found to be usable, the agency said. In others, the houses were not their primary residences.
So we should continue to pay for people to live on the dole, live on cruise ships, get extra money for their second homes. Does this judge live in some kind of vacuum? Has he not seen the abuse of this system? As 2 would say, un-freakin-believable.
